Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Remove all packaging materials and tape.

  1. Position the refrigerator: Allow at least 2 inches of clearance on sides and back for ventilation.
  2. Level the refrigerator: Adjust the front leveling legs so doors close properly.
  3. Connect water line: Use a 1/4" copper water line and shut-off valve (see section 7).
  4. Plug into dedicated 115V, 15A grounded outlet.
  5. Let refrigerator stand upright for 2 hours before powering on.

WARNING! Refrigerator is heavy; use two people for moving. Ensure floor can support weight.

First-Time Setup

After installation, power on the refrigerator.

  1. Set temperature: Default is 37°F for fridge, 0°F for freezer. Adjust using control panel.
  2. Enable ice maker: Lift the wire signal arm to ON position.
  3. Run initial ice cycle: Discard first batch of ice (about 24 hours).
  4. Install water filter: Twist filter into housing, run water for 3 minutes to flush.
  5. Set door alarm and energy saver: Use control panel to customize.

CAUTION! Do not load food until refrigerator reaches set temperature.

Controls and Settings

Control Panel located on front dispenser area.

Buttons: LOCK (child lock), ICE TYPE (cube/crush), FILTER RESET, TEMP (fridge/freezer), ENERGY SAVER, DOOR ALARM.

Temperature Settings: Fridge (34°F to 46°F), Freezer (-6°F to 6°F). Ice Maker: ON/OFF via wire signal arm. Energy Saver: ON for low humidity, OFF if condensation appears. Door Alarm: Sounds if door left open >3 minutes. Filter Reset: Hold 3 seconds after replacing filter. Lock: Hold 3 seconds to disable dispenser buttons.

Connecting Water Line

Required for ice maker and water dispenser.

  1. Turn off main water supply.
  2. Connect 1/4" copper tubing to shut-off valve.
  3. Route tubing to refrigerator connection at bottom rear.
  4. Use compression fitting to connect to refrigerator inlet valve.
  5. Turn water on and check for leaks.
  6. Flush line by dispensing water for 3 minutes.

Tip: Use an approved water line kit. Do not use plastic tubing.

Using the Ice & Water Dispenser

Dispenses filtered water and ice (cubed or crushed).

  1. Water: Press glass against water paddle.
  2. Ice: Press glass against ice paddle. Select cube or crush with ICE TYPE button.
  3. To stop: Remove glass or press paddle again.
  4. Ice maker: Automatically produces ice when signal arm is down.
  5. To turn off ice maker: Lift signal arm up.
  6. Replace water filter every 6 months or when indicator light comes on.

WARNING! Do not use without water filter. Children should not play with dispenser.

Food Storage Features

Adjustable shelves: Lift front to reposition. Humidity crispers: Slide control to HIGH for vegetables, LOW for fruits. Door bins: Adjustable for gallon containers. Freezer drawer: Full-width with slide-out basket. Meat drawer: Optional for colder storage.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug before cleaning interior. Use warm water and mild detergent. Do not use abrasive cleaners.

Exterior: Clean stainless steel with LG-approved cleaner and grain direction. Dispenser area: Wipe with damp cloth. Condenser coils: Vacuum every 6 months. Door seals: Clean with soapy water.

CAUTION! Do not use sharp objects to remove ice. Never pour water into ice maker.
