Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Remove all packaging materials and tape.

  1. Choose Location: Place on a level, solid floor near a water line and electrical outlet. Allow clearance for doors to open fully.
  2. Connect Water Supply: Shut off main water supply. Connect 1/4" copper tubing or LG-approved water line kit to cold water supply and refrigerator inlet valve.
  3. Plug In: Plug power cord into a grounded 3-prong outlet. Do not use an extension cord.
  4. Level the Refrigerator: Adjust the front leveling legs to ensure doors close properly and unit is stable.

WARNING! Refrigerator is heavy; use two people to move. Ensure water connections are tight to prevent leaks.

First-Time Setup

After installation, allow refrigerator to cool for several hours before adding food.

  1. Power On: Ensure unit is plugged in. The interior lights and control panel should illuminate.
  2. Set Temperature: Press TEMP buttons to set refrigerator to 37°F (3°C) and freezer to 0°F (-18°C).
  3. Flush Water System: Dispense and discard first 2-3 gallons of water to clear air and carbon fines from new filter.
  4. Activate Ice Maker: Lift the ice maker feeler arm to the "ON" (up) position.

CAUTION! Do not overload refrigerator. Allow air circulation around food items.

Buttons: TEMP (Fridge/Freezer), ICE TYPE (Crushed/Cubed), WATER, LOCK, FILTER RESET, POWER COOL, POWER FREEZE.

Temperature Settings: Adjustable from 34°F to 46°F (fridge) and -6°F to 8°F (freezer). Ice Type: Select between crushed or cubed ice. Lock: Press and hold for 3 seconds to lock/unlock control panel. Filter Reset: Press and hold for 3 seconds after replacing water filter. Power Cool/Power Freeze: Rapidly cools fridge/freezer for 2 hours before returning to set temperature.

Using the Refrigerator

Organize food for optimal cooling and energy efficiency.

  1. Fresh Food Compartment: Store dairy, meats, and leftovers on upper shelves. Use crispers for fruits and vegetables.
  2. Door Bins: Store condiments, juices, and beverages.
  3. Freezer Compartment: Store frozen foods, ice cream, and frozen vegetables. Use bins and baskets for organization.
  4. Adjustable Shelves: Shelves can be repositioned or removed for cleaning.

Tip: Cover or wrap foods to prevent odor transfer and drying out.

Water & Ice System

Provides filtered water and ice through the external dispenser.

  1. To Dispense Water: Press a glass against the water paddle. Press again to stop.
  2. To Dispense Ice: Press a glass against the ice paddle. Select ice type (crushed/cubed) first.
  3. Replace Water Filter: When FILTER indicator light turns red, replace LT1000P filter. Turn filter counterclockwise to remove, insert new filter and turn clockwise until it clicks. Press and hold FILTER RESET for 3 seconds.
  4. Clean Dispenser Area: Wipe with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.

WARNING! Do not use with non-potable water. Replace filter as recommended.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug before cleaning interior. Use mild detergent and warm water. Do not use abrasive cleaners.

Exterior: Clean with soft cloth and mild detergent. Wipe stainless steel with grain.
Interior: Remove shelves and bins. Wash in warm, soapy water. Dry thoroughly.
Condenser Coils: Vacuum coils at rear or bottom front (depending on model) every 6-12 months.
Door Seals: Wipe with clean, damp cloth to ensure proper seal.

CAUTION! Do not use sharp objects to remove frost. Never use boiling water.
