Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Remove all packaging materials and tape.

  1. Choose Location: Place on a level, solid floor near a water line and grounded electrical outlet.
  2. Connect Water Line: For ice/water dispenser, connect to a cold water line with a 1/4" copper supply line.
  3. Level the Refrigerator: Adjust the leveling legs at the front to ensure doors close properly.
  4. Plug into AC Power: Use a dedicated 115V, 60Hz, 15A outlet.
  5. Clearance: Allow at least 2 inches of space on sides and back, and 1 inch at top for ventilation.

WARNING! Refrigerator is heavy; use two people for moving. Ensure water connection is tight to prevent leaks.

First-Time Setup

After installation, allow 24 hours for the refrigerator to cool before adding food.

  1. Power On: Plug in the refrigerator. The interior lights and display panel should illuminate.
  2. Set Temperatures: Default is 37°F (3°C) for fridge and 0°F (-18°C) for freezer. Adjust via control panel.
  3. Enable Ice Maker: Press the "Ice Off" button on the dispenser control panel to turn the ice maker ON.
  4. Flush Water System: Dispense water for 3 minutes to clear air from lines.
  5. Organize Shelves: Adjust shelves and drawers to suit your storage needs.

CAUTION! Do not overload the refrigerator. Allow air to circulate around food items.

Controls and Settings

Control Panel located on the dispenser face. Buttons: Power Cool, Power Freeze, Ice Type (Crushed/Cubed), Water, Ice Off, Lock, Temp Settings.

Temperature Settings: Use Temp buttons to set Fridge (34°F - 46°F) and Freezer (-6°F - 8°F). Power Cool: Rapidly cools fridge for 2 hours. Power Freeze: Rapidly freezes for 24 hours. Lock: Locks control panel to prevent accidental changes. Ice Type: Selects between cubed or crushed ice.

InstaView™: Knock twice on the Door-in-Door panel to light the interior. Smart Diagnosis™: Hold the "Ice Type" and "Power Freeze" buttons for 3 seconds to activate diagnostic mode.

Using the Refrigerator

Adjustable shelves, humidity-controlled crispers, and Door-in-Door compartment.

  1. Shelves: Slide out for cleaning or repositioning. Spill-proof design contains spills.
  2. Crispers: Use Humidity Control slide (HIGH for vegetables, LOW for fruits).
  3. Door-in-Door: Store frequently used items. Press the button on the handle to open.
  4. Pantry Drawer: Adjust temperature via control on the front (Meat, Snacks, Drinks).
  5. Egg Tray & Door Bins: Store eggs, condiments, and beverages.

Tip: Do not block air vents inside the refrigerator for proper cooling.

Using the Freezer

Bottom freezer drawer with slide-out baskets and storage bin.

  1. Open Freezer: Pull handle to open drawer.
  2. Baskets: Slide out for access to frozen items.
  3. Storage Bin: For bulkier items.
  4. Ice Bucket: Located in the upper left. Remove to access ice.
  5. Power Freeze: Use for rapid freezing of new items.

WARNING! Do not place glass containers in the freezer. Allow hot food to cool before freezing.

Water & Ice System

External dispenser with water filter.

  1. Water Dispensing: Press water paddle. Hold for continuous flow.
  2. Ice Dispensing: Press ice paddle. Select Cubed or Crushed ice first.
  3. Replacing Water Filter: When "Replace Filter" light illuminates, twist old filter counterclockwise to remove. Insert new LT1000P filter and twist clockwise.
  4. Cleaning Dispenser: Wipe with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
  5. Turning Ice Maker Off: Press "Ice Off" button. Press again to turn on.

CAUTION! First ice production may take 24 hours. Discard first few batches.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug before cleaning interior. Use warm water and baking soda solution for interior surfaces.

  1. Interior: Clean shelves, drawers, and interior walls with mild detergent. Rinse and dry.
  2. Exterior: Clean doors and handles with a soft cloth and mild cleaner. For stainless steel, use LG-approved cleaner.
  3. Condenser Coils: Vacuum coils at the back or bottom every 6-12 months.
  4. Drip Tray: Remove and clean the drip tray under the dispenser.

CAUTION! Do not use abrasive pads, steel wool, or harsh chemicals. Never pour water over the control panel.

Smart Features

Smart Diagnosis™: If service is needed, call LG and activate Smart Diagnosis via phone. The refrigerator will transmit diagnostic sounds.

Smartphone Connectivity: Compatible with LG ThinQ app (optional) for remote monitoring and control, receiving filter replacement alerts, and troubleshooting tips.

Troubleshooting
