Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Ensure proper location and clearances.

  1. Remove packaging: Take off all tapes, bolts, and protective films.
  2. Position refrigerator: Place on level floor with 2-inch clearance on sides and back.
  3. Connect water line: Use ¼-inch copper tubing or FDA-approved hose to water supply.
  4. Plug into dedicated 115V AC outlet.
  5. Allow to stand upright for 2 hours before powering on.

WARNING! Refrigerator is heavy; use two people for moving. Ensure water line is securely connected to prevent leaks.

First-Time Setup

Power on refrigerator; follow initial setup prompts on control panel.

  1. Set temperature: Default is 37°F for fridge, 0°F for freezer. Adjust via control panel.
  2. Enable InstaView: Knock twice on the Door-in-Door panel to activate.
  3. Connect to Wi-Fi: Use LG ThinQ® app to connect refrigerator to home network.
  4. Run ice maker: Discard first batch of ice (about 24 hours after installation).

Connecting to Utilities

Water Supply: ¼-inch line with shut-off valve. Electrical: Dedicated 115V outlet.

  1. Turn off water supply before connecting line.
  2. Use included water filter and follow diagram for connection.
  3. Plug power cord into grounded outlet; avoid extension cords.
  4. Check for leaks after connecting water line.

Tip: Install a water hammer arrestor if water hammer occurs.

Using InstaView & Craft Ice

InstaView: Knock twice on Door-in-Door panel to light interior. Craft Ice: Spherical ice for drinks.

  1. Activate InstaView: Ensure refrigerator is on; knock firmly on panel.
  2. Access Door-in-Door: Press button to open compartment for frequently used items.
  3. Select Craft Ice: Press "Ice Type" button until Craft Ice icon appears.
  4. Dispense ice: Place glass against dispenser lever; select ice type.
  5. Clean ice maker: Follow manual instructions for periodic cleaning.

WARNING! Do not use sharp objects to remove ice. Keep children away from dispenser.
