Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Ensure proper location and clearances.

  1. Remove all packaging materials and tape.
  2. Position refrigerator on a level, solid floor. Allow at least 2 inches of clearance on sides and back, and 4 inches on top for ventilation.
  3. Connect to water line (for ice maker and water dispenser): Shut off main water supply, connect 1/4" copper tubing to the water inlet valve at the back.
  4. Plug into a dedicated 115V, 60Hz, 15A AC outlet. Do not use an extension cord.
  5. Allow refrigerator to stand upright for at least 2 hours before plugging in to let refrigerant settle.

WARNING! Refrigerator is heavy; use two people for moving. Ensure water line connections are tight to prevent leaks.

First-Time Setup

Plug in the refrigerator and follow initial setup steps.

  1. Set the temperature: Press the TEMPERATURE button on the control panel. Recommended settings: Refrigerator at 37°F (3°C), Freezer at 0°F (-18°C).
  2. Allow 24 hours for temperatures to stabilize.
  3. Flush the water system: Dispense and discard the first 1-2 gallons of water to clear the line.
  4. Set the ice maker: Lift the wire signal arm to the ON (up) position. It may take 24 hours to produce the first batch of ice.
  5. Adjust shelves and bins to suit your storage needs.

CAUTION! Do not load food until the refrigerator has reached proper temperature. Keep doors closed during initial cool-down.

Buttons/Functions: POWER (dispenser on/off), TEMPERATURE (cycle through fridge/freezer temp settings), ICE TYPE (cubed/crushed), LOCK (child lock for dispenser), FILTER RESET (reset indicator after filter change).

Temperature Settings: Use TEMPERATURE button to select refrigerator or freezer, then use + or - buttons to adjust. Range: Refrigerator 34°F - 46°F (1°C - 8°C), Freezer -6°F to 8°F (-21°C to -13°C).

Dispenser Lock: Press and hold LOCK for 3 seconds to disable the dispenser pad to prevent accidental activation.

Smart Diagnosis: Press and hold TEMPERATURE and ICE TYPE buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds to activate diagnostic mode for use with the LG app.

Using the Ice & Water Dispenser

Ensure water supply is connected and turned on.

  1. To dispense water: Press a glass against the water paddle. The dispenser will run as long as pressure is applied.
  2. To dispense ice: Press a glass against the ice paddle. Select ice type (cubed or crushed) using the ICE TYPE button.
  3. To turn dispenser lights on/off: The lights activate when the paddles are pressed. They can be turned off via the control panel.
  4. To change the water filter: When the FILTER indicator light turns on (approx. every 6 months), twist the old filter counterclockwise to remove, insert new LT1000P filter and twist clockwise. Press and hold FILTER RESET for 3 seconds.

WARNING! Use only potable water. Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe. Children should be supervised to avoid injury from the dispenser mechanism.

Tip: Do not overfill shelves or block air vents inside the refrigerator for proper cooling.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug refrigerator before cleaning interior if possible.

  1. Exterior: Wipe with a soft, damp cloth. Use a mild detergent if needed. For stainless steel, use a cleaner specifically for stainless steel appliances and wipe in the direction of the grain.
  2. Interior: Remove shelves and bins. Wash with warm water and mild dish soap. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
  3. Dispenser Area: Wipe with a clean, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
  4. Condenser Coils: Vacuum the coils (located at the bottom rear or behind the kickplate) every 6-12 months to maintain efficiency.
  5. Door Gaskets: Clean with warm, soapy water. Ensure they seal properly to maintain temperature.

CAUTION! Do not use harsh chemicals, abrasive scouring pads, or steam cleaners. Never pour water directly on or inside the refrigerator.
