Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Ensure proper location with adequate clearance.

  1. Remove packaging: Take off all tape, foam, and shipping materials.
  2. Position refrigerator: Place on level floor with at least 2 inches clearance on sides and back.
  3. Adjust leveling legs: Use wrench to adjust so doors close properly.
  4. Connect water line: Follow instructions for water supply connection (if using dispenser).
  5. Plug into dedicated 115V AC outlet.

WARNING! Refrigerator is heavy; use two people to move. Ensure floor can support weight.

First-Time Setup

Plug in refrigerator; allow 24 hours for cooling before adding food.

  1. Set temperature: Press TEMP buttons to set refrigerator (37°F recommended) and freezer (0°F recommended).
  2. Install water filter: Remove cap, insert filter, twist clockwise until it stops.
  3. Flush water system: Dispense water for 3 minutes to clear air and impurities.
  4. Enable ice maker: Lift wire signal arm to ON position.
  5. Load food: Arrange items with space for air circulation.

CAUTION! Do not block air vents inside refrigerator. Allow space between items.

Control panel located above dispenser. Buttons: TEMP (fridge/freezer), ICE TYPE, LOCK, FILTER RESET, ALARM RESET.

Display: Shows temperature settings, filter status, door alarm, ice type selection.

Temperature Settings: Refrigerator (34°F to 46°F), Freezer (-6°F to 8°F). Ice Type: Cubed or Crushed. Lock: Child lock for dispenser. Filter Reset: Press and hold 3 seconds after replacing filter. Alarm: Sounds if door left open >3 minutes.

Connecting Water Line

Required for ice maker and water dispenser. Use 1/4" copper tubing or LG-approved water line kit.

  1. Turn off main water supply.
  2. Connect water line to cold water pipe using saddle valve or tee fitting.
  3. Route line to refrigerator connection at bottom rear.
  4. Connect to refrigerator inlet valve; tighten compression nut.
  5. Turn on water; check for leaks.

Tip: Use only drinking water quality line. Do not use plastic PVC or rubber tubing.

Using the Ice & Water Dispenser

Dispenses ice (cubed or crushed) and chilled water.

  1. Select ice type: Press ICE TYPE button for cubed or crushed.
  2. Dispense ice: Press glass against ice paddle.
  3. Dispense water: Press glass against water paddle.
  4. Child lock: Press and hold LOCK for 3 seconds to disable dispenser.
  5. Replace filter: When FILTER indicator lights, replace LT1000P filter.

WARNING! Do not use dispenser without water filter installed. Children should not play with dispenser.

Food Storage Features

Adjustable shelves: Lift front to reposition. Humidity-controlled crispers: Slide control to HIGH for vegetables, LOW for fruits. Door bins: Adjustable height. Gallon door bins: Hold large containers. Freezer baskets: Slide out for access.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug before cleaning interior. Use mild detergent and warm water; rinse and dry.

Exterior: Clean with soft cloth and mild cleaner. Interior: Clean shelves and bins. Dispenser: Wipe with damp cloth. Condenser coils: Vacuum every 6 months.

CAUTION! Do not use abrasive cleaners or sharp objects. Never use hot water on cold glass shelves.
