Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Ensure proper location and clearances.

1. Remove all packaging materials and tape.
2. Position refrigerator on a level, solid floor. Allow 2 inches clearance at back and sides, 1 inch at top.
3. Connect to a dedicated 115V, 60Hz, 15- or 20-amp circuit. Do not use an extension cord.
4. Attach water line for ice maker and water dispenser (if connected). Ensure water supply is turned on.
5. Let refrigerator stand upright for at least 2 hours before plugging in.

WARNING! Refrigerator is heavy; use two or more people to move and install. Ensure floor can support the weight.

First-Time Setup

Plug in the refrigerator; initial cooling may take several hours.

1. Set temperature: Press and hold the Temp button on the control panel to set fridge (recommended 37°F) and freezer (recommended 0°F).
2. Enable InstaView: The panel lights up when you knock twice on the glass.
3. Start ice makers: Allow 24 hours for first batch of ice. Discard first few batches.
4. Set door alarm: Use control panel to enable/disable door open alarm.
5. Connect to SmartThinQ (optional): Follow app instructions.

Temperature Settings: Fridge: 33°F to 46°F. Freezer: -8°F to 5°F.

Special Modes: Power Cool - Rapidly cools fridge for 2 hours. Power Freeze - Rapidly freezes for 24 hours. Sabbath Mode - Disables lights and alarms.

Filter Indicator: Lights when filter needs replacement (approx. every 6 months).

Using InstaView & Smart Features

InstaView: Knock twice on the tinted glass panel to illuminate interior. Light turns off after 10 seconds or when door is opened.

1. Door-in-Door: Press the release button on the InstaView handle to open just the compartment for quick access to frequently used items.
2. Craft Ice: Select "Craft Ice" on the control panel. The maker produces up to 8 round ice balls per day.
3. Ice & Water Dispenser: Press glass against the dispenser paddle. Select ice type (cube or crushed) and water (filtered).

Tip: Keep the InstaView glass clean for best sensor response.

Storage & Organization

Optimize space and freshness with adjustable components.

1. Adjustable Shelves: Lift front of shelf to reposition or remove for cleaning.
2. Door Bins: Can be repositioned or removed. Gallon bins hold large containers.
3. Crispers: Use High Humidity for vegetables, Low Humidity for fruits.
4. Freezer Drawer: Full-width drawer with adjustable divider. Store frozen foods here.
5. FlexZone™ Drawer (if applicable): Can be set as fridge or freezer.

WARNING! Do not block air vents inside the refrigerator for proper cooling.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug before cleaning interior. Use mild detergent and warm water; rinse and dry.

• Exterior: Clean with soft cloth and mild detergent. Polish stainless steel with grain.
• Interior Shelves & Bins: Remove and wash with warm soapy water.
• Door Seals: Wipe with clean, damp cloth.
• Condenser Coils: Vacuum every 6-12 months (located at back or bottom front).
• Water Filter: Replace every 6 months. Press and hold Filter Reset for 3 seconds after replacement.

CAUTION! Do not use abrasive cleaners, ammonia, or bleach. Do not pour water directly on the interior.

SmartThinQ® App Setup

Connect your refrigerator to your home Wi-Fi for remote monitoring and control.

1. Download the LG SmartThinQ app from your device's app store.
2. Create an account or log in.
3. Press and hold the Wi-Fi button on the control panel for 3 seconds until the icon blinks.
4. Follow in-app instructions to connect to your home network.
5. Use the app to adjust temperatures, monitor filter status, run diagnostics, and receive alerts.

Note: Requires 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. Connection issues may require router adjustment.
