Unpacking and Inspection

  1. Remove the monitor and all accessories from the packaging.

  3. Inspect for any visible damage during shipping. If damaged, contact your retailer immediately.
  4. Place all components on a clean, flat, stable surface.

WARNING! The monitor panel is fragile. Handle with care to avoid scratches or impact damage. Do not lift the monitor by the panel; always hold the base or edges.

Installation Steps

Follow these steps to assemble the monitor stand and connect to a power source and video input.

  1. Attach the Stand: Align the stand neck with the slot on the rear of the monitor. Press down firmly until it clicks into place. Secure the stand base to the neck using the provided screw (hand-tighten).
  2. Connect Video Cable: Choose either the HDMI or VGA cable. Connect one end to the corresponding port on the back of the monitor and the other end to your computer or video source.
  3. Connect Power: Connect the power cable to the power adapter (if separate), then plug the adapter into the DC-IN port on the monitor. Plug the power cable into a grounded electrical outlet.
  4. Position the Monitor: Place the monitor on a stable desk or surface. Adjust the tilt angle for comfortable viewing by gently tilting the panel forward or backward.

CAUTION! Ensure all connections are secure before powering on. Do not force connectors. Use the monitor on a stable surface to prevent tipping.

The monitor features front control buttons and rear input ports for connectivity.

Front Control Buttons (Bottom Edge): Power Button (with LED indicator), Menu/Enter Button, Volume/Scroll Down Button, Input/Scroll Up Button, Auto/Select Button.

Rear Ports: HDMI Port, VGA Port (D-Sub 15-pin), DC-IN Power Port, Kensington Lock Slot.

Using the OSD (On-Screen Display): Press the Menu button to access settings for Picture Mode, Brightness, Contrast, Color Temperature, Input Selection, and System settings like Language and Reset.

Initial Setup and Configuration

Power on the monitor and configure basic settings for optimal use.

  1. Press the Power button on the monitor or the front control panel. The power LED should light up (blue or white).
  2. If no image appears, press the Input button to cycle through available inputs (HDMI, VGA) until your computer's display is shown.
  3. Press the Menu button to enter the OSD. Navigate using the Volume (Down) and Input (Up) buttons.
    • Select Picture to adjust Brightness, Contrast, or select a preset mode (Reader, Photo, Cinema, etc.).
    • Select Input to manually choose your video source.
    • Select System to set the OSD Language, enable Auto Power Off, or perform a factory Reset.
  4. For the sharpest image on VGA input, press the Auto/Select button to automatically adjust clock and phase.

Tip: For general use, the "Custom" picture mode with Brightness around 70 and Contrast 70 is recommended.

Wall Mount Installation

The monitor is compatible with VESA 100x100 mm mounting interfaces.

  1. Remove the Stand: Lay the monitor face down on a soft, clean surface. Press the stand release latch on the neck and lift the stand assembly away from the monitor.
  2. Attach VESA Mount: Use four M4 x 10mm screws (not included) to attach your VESA-compatible wall mount or monitor arm bracket to the four screw holes on the back of the monitor. Do not overtighten.
  3. Mount to Wall/Arm: Securely attach the monitor (now with bracket) to the wall mount or arm according to the mount manufacturer's instructions.
  4. Reconnect Cables: Route and connect the power and video cables to the monitor after it is securely mounted.

WARNING! Wall mounting should be performed by a qualified professional. Ensure the wall or structure can support the weight of the monitor. LG is not responsible for damage or injury caused by improper mounting.

Energy Saving Features

The monitor includes features to reduce power consumption.

To maximize energy savings, enable "Auto Power Off" and ensure the monitor enters standby when not in use.

Care & Maintenance

Proper care ensures long monitor life and optimal performance.

  1. Cleaning: Always unplug the monitor. Use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth to gently wipe the screen and body. For stubborn smudges, lightly dampen the cloth with water only. Do not apply liquid directly to the screen.
  2. Avoid: Abrasive cleaners, solvents, ammonia, or alcohol-based products. Do not use paper towels or tissues which can scratch the screen.
  3. Ventilation: Keep vents on the monitor clear of obstructions to prevent overheating.
  4. Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

CAUTION! Never spray liquids directly onto the monitor. Do not press hard on the LCD panel.
