Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Ensure proper location with adequate clearance.

Remove packaging: Take off all tape, foam, and protective film.
Position refrigerator: Allow at least 2 inches clearance on sides, 4 inches at back, and 1 inch at top for ventilation.
Level the unit: Adjust front leveling legs using wrench provided.
Connect water line: For ice maker and water dispenser, connect to cold water supply using approved tubing.
Plug into dedicated 115V AC outlet.

First-Time Setup

Connecting to SmartThinQ

Download SmartThinQ app from Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
Create LG account or sign in.
Press and hold SmartThinQ button on control panel for 3 seconds until Wi-Fi icon blinks.
Follow in-app instructions to connect refrigerator to home Wi-Fi network.
Once connected, control temperatures, monitor filter status, receive alerts, and run diagnostics remotely.

Using InstaView & Craft Ice

InstaView: Knock twice on the glass panel of the Door-in-Door to illuminate interior without opening. Craft Ice: Spherical ice melts slower, ideal for beverages.

InstaView activation: Ensure refrigerator is powered on. Knock firmly twice on the glass panel.
Light duration: Interior LED lights for 10 seconds after knock.
Craft Ice production: Select "Craft Ice" on control panel. First batch takes approximately 24 hours.
Craft Ice storage: Ice stores in dedicated bin in freezer door.
Switching ice types: Toggle between Craft Ice and cubed ice using control panel.

WARNING! Do not strike InstaView glass with hard objects. Clean with soft cloth only.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug before cleaning interior. Use mild detergent and warm water for cleaning.

Exterior: Clean stainless steel with grain using damp cloth and mild detergent. Dry thoroughly.
