Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Ensure proper location and clearances.

  1. Remove packaging: Take off all tape, foam, and shipping materials.
  2. Position refrigerator: Place on level floor with required clearances (sides, top, back).
  3. Connect water line: Attach to cold water supply using approved tubing and shut-off valve.
  4. Plug into dedicated 115V, 15-20 amp grounded outlet.
  5. Allow 2-3 hours for cooling before adding food.

WARNING! Refrigerator is heavy; use two people for moving. Ensure water connection is tight to prevent leaks.

First-Time Setup

Power on refrigerator; follow initial setup prompts.

  1. Set temperature: Default is 37°F (fridge) and 0°F (freezer). Adjust via control panel.
  2. Enable SmartThinQ®: Download app, connect refrigerator to Wi-Fi for remote features.
  3. Activate InstaView: Knock twice on the Door-in-Door panel to illuminate interior.
  4. Run ice maker: Discard first 1-2 batches of ice (approx. 24 hours to produce).
  5. Organize shelves and bins according to your storage needs.

CAUTION! Do not overload shelves. Allow air circulation around items.

Temperature Settings: Fridge (34-46°F), Freezer (-6 to 6°F), Convertible Drawer (Wine, Meat, Snacks, etc.). Ice Options: Craft Ice, Crushed, Cubed. Smart Features: Energy saving mode, Vacation mode, Smart Diagnosis™. Filter Monitor: Indicates when to replace water filter (LT1000P).

Using the Refrigerator

Organize food for optimal cooling and accessibility.

  1. Fridge section: Upper shelves for drinks/leftovers, lower for raw meat (in containers), crispers for produce.
  2. Door bins: Condiments, juices, gallon containers.
  3. Freezer: Top for ice cream/frozen treats, middle for meats, bottom for frozen veggies.
  4. Full-Convert™ drawer: Set temperature based on contents (wine, deli, snacks, etc.).
  5. Water/ice dispenser: Press lever for water, select ice type on panel.

Tip: Keep fridge at or below 40°F and freezer at 0°F for food safety.

Using InstaView & Smart Features

InstaView: Knock twice on Door-in-Door panel to light interior; press button to open. SmartThinQ® App: Monitor temperature, adjust settings, run diagnostics, receive filter alerts.

  1. Download SmartThinQ® app and create account.
  2. Connect refrigerator to home Wi-Fi following app instructions.
  3. Use app to: Set temperatures, change ice type, enable vacation mode, troubleshoot issues.
  4. Smart Diagnosis™: Hold phone near control panel to transmit data for service.

Note: Requires 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. Keep firmware updated via app.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug before cleaning interior. Use mild soap and water; avoid abrasives.

  1. Interior: Clean shelves, drawers, and liners monthly.
  2. Exterior: Wipe stainless steel with grain using approved cleaner.
  3. Condenser coils: Vacuum every 6-12 months (located at back or bottom).
  4. Water filter: Replace LT1000P every 6 months or as indicated.
  5. Ice maker: Clean ice bin periodically; run cleaning cycle if needed.

CAUTION! Do not use sharp objects or steam cleaners. Never clean glass shelves with hot water when cold.
